概述
橋樓航行值班報警系統(tǒng)（Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System ）英文縮寫為BNWAS ，主要用來保證船舶在航行時一直在駕駛臺值班人員的控制中，保證駕駛臺一直有值班人員值班。值班人員必須在設(shè)定好的時間內(nèi)（3 到12 分鐘）按下復(fù)位按鈕，則安全值班報警系統(tǒng)重新開始計時。當(dāng)上述情況出現(xiàn)時，系統(tǒng)將產(chǎn)生一系列逐步延伸的報警直到引起相關(guān)人員的注意，確保值班駕駛員履行其值班職責(zé)。
橋樓航行值班報警系統(tǒng)是船舶運(yùn)行時的重要系統(tǒng)。船舶在海上航行途中的任何時候，駕駛室航行值班報警系統(tǒng)均應(yīng)保持運(yùn)行。

Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System
General Introduction
The purpose of a bridge navigational watch alarm system ( BNWAS ) is to monitor bridge activity and detect operator disability which could lead to marine accidents. A watch officer is required to press the button on a Timer Reset Panel or to operate navigation equipment (e.g. ECDIS, Radar, etc.) at certain intervals, which can be set between 3 and 12minutes. This purpose is achieved by a series of indications and a1arm to a1ert first the officer and, if he is not responding, then to alert the Master or another qualified officer.
Additionally,the BNWAS provides the officer with a means 0f calling for immediate assistance. The BNWAS should be operational whenever the ship is underway at sea.
