靠高壓電暈放電使得粉塵荷電，荷電后的粉塵在電場力的作用下到達(dá)集塵板，但是在對集塵板上捕集到的粉塵清灰方式上有較大的區(qū)別，它采用沖刷液沖洗電極，在極板上形成連續(xù)的液膜，使粉塵隨著沖刷液的流動(dòng)而清除。煙氣中的灰塵顆粒通過高壓電磁場時(shí)與電 極間的正負(fù)離子與電子碰撞而產(chǎn)生的荷電，帶上電子和離子的塵粒在電場力的作用下向異性電極運(yùn)動(dòng)并積附在異性電極上，通過振打等方式使電極上的灰塵落入收集 灰斗中，使它通過電除塵器的煙氣得到凈化，從而達(dá)到除塵效果。

除塵器工作機(jī)理如下：

收塵效率不受粉塵特性影響，不受灰成分、比電阻影響。水霧滴導(dǎo)電、荷電性強(qiáng)，有利于除塵。趨近速度高，設(shè)備選型小。
